RIP Alex Higgins

It is with great regret that I have to inform you of the passing of Alex Higgins, he passed away at his home in Dublin a few short hours ago.

I just got off of the telephone with Barry Hearn and he sends his condolences to Alex's family, he also added at this sad time that we should remember Alex for all the good things he gave us.

Battmans Day

Jesters Member Alan Battman entered into the Pink Ribbon Tournament at the new Snooker Academy in Gloucester, he got knocked out by WLBSA 6 times World Champion, Reanne Evens (4-0) only to be called back to the competition the next day to take her place in the second round becasue she had to go on holiday. Battman faced his old friend Ryan Day but lost 4-0. Battman was quoted to say "I am more nervious playing Ryan than I was Reanne"
